Sika Deer Guided Hunts
Nanticoke Outfitters has 7 different Sika properties that we currently manage for mature stags in Dorchester and Wicomico Counties. Our 7 properties have a total of 19 stands. We only hunt 5 stands at a time, rotating our stands to keep them fresh! Our Sika hunts are in the marsh, overlooking feeders and active trails with some of our stands accessible by boat or argo only. Your guide will always walk you into your stand so you don’t lose valuable hunting time looking for your stand in the dark! We hunt from a few different stands such as the NxtGen Hunting Blind, Millennium Buck Hut, one of our custom built shooting houses, or a Hawk ladder stand. We only use the Hawk Ladder Stands on new properties when we haven’t “committed” to a spot yet.
Whitetail Deer Hunts
Currently, we have 5 different Whitetail Deer properties that we manage for mature bucks covering 2100 acres in Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester Counties. We have a total of 21 different stand sites so we can always hunt the right wind, at the right time. We will only hunt 5 whitetail hunters at a time so we can rotate our stands, keeping them fresh while always hunting the right winds. Our guides will walk you into your stand and upon harvesting your deer, your guide will meet you and lead the tracking effort. After a celebration and pictures, our guide will field dress your deer, bring it back to the trucks where we will help you call in your deer tag before taking it to the cooler or the butcher. We work with Wright’s Butcher Shop locally to help take care of your harvest until you head back home.
Duck Guided Hunts
PICK YOUR POISON!!!! Puddlers, Divers, Sea Ducks… We Kill ’em All
We hunt the salt marshes on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for Sea Ducks, Puddle Ducks and Divers. Our hunting is in Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester Counties on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland. Many of our clients do multi-day hunts where we might chase sea ducks one day, puddle ducks the next, and maybe geese or divers the next day. Come hunt with us to experience everything the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland has to offer the avid waterfowler. We harvest Mallards, Woodies, Gadwall, Widgeon, Teal, Black Ducks, Pintails, Redheads, Bluebills, Canvasbacks, and Buffleheads.
When it comes to our sea duck hunts, we harvest all 3 scoters but primarily shoot the surf scoter and the common or black scoter. When the long tail (old squaw) show up, we get on them pretty good too. Many of these sea ducks make great trophies! We hunt out of boat blinds, layout blinds, shore blinds, and ground blinds. Please let us know if you have a desire to pursue a particular duck or want to have the opportunity to hunt a certain way, such as using one of our Layout Addictions 2-man layout blinds out in the Chesapeake Bay.
Guided Hunts for Goose and Brant
We can also provide you with the opportunity to harvest Canada Geese and Brant… the Salt Goose! We have a number of high traffic areas for Goose Hunting. The daily limit here in Maryland is only 2-birds per hunter during the Migratory Season (Dec/Jan). During the resident season (Sept), we can harvest 8 Geese per hunter, per day. We do our hunts in cut fields, planted impoundments, and occasionally on the rivers. Wherever we find the most geese is where we will be hunting!
The limit on Brant is 2 per hunter, per day. The Brant do not arrive here in good numbers until January. We have a number of locations along the Atlantic Ocean to pursue Brant. A typical Brant hunt will find you harvesting other ducks as well such as Black Ducks, Mallards, Gadwall, Pintail, and Widgeon. We have helped hunters from all over the country harvest their first Brant. Are you ready to get yours?
Guided Hunts for Spring Turkey
With over 900 acres that we currently own or lease for turkey hunting, we tend to run around to different properties during your hunt if necessary. All of our turkey hunts are fully guided and are done in a “Run and Gun” style. However, if you prefer to sit in a ground blind, we can accommodate for that as well.
Lodging
We have our lodge located just off of Nanticoke Road in Quantico, MD. We can have 6 guests at a time in our 3 bedroom lodge. All of our multi-day hunters stay in the lodge and during your stay, one night for dinner we will have locally caught seafood! Nothing taste better than fresh seafood.
If you prefer, we have a relationship with the Comfort Inn in Cambridge, MD. where you can stay. Our hunters get 25% off their stay but you must mention that you are hunting with Nanticoke Outfitters when making your reservation!
